The town is turning down developments like theirs with smaller houses and lots, they say, and this could be now or never.

Ask Arlington officials about the small lot shut down and they’ll say that’s just not true.
And what might be a marketing tool for the subdivision could be a reflection of Arlington’s desire to see more than just houses on a piece of land. Couple that with the rising cost of land and small lots may be a less doable option for developers and builders.
Right now, as far as we know we’ve got the only entry-level, small-lot game in town. We don’t think we’d be able to get any approvals for another said Chris Christian, president of Lenox Homes, which is selling houses at Shaw’s Ridge.
The houses at Shaw’s Ridge, off Arlington Trace, are on lots that range from 5,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet. The houses are 1,300 square feet up to 2,500 square feet.
